Lifesupport Air Medical Services is recruiting Critical Care / ER Registered Nurses to perform fixed wing international medevac transfers as a Flight & Airline Nurse and Medical Escort. Does this sound like a role for you?

‍Job Requirements‍

• Check proper functioning and availability of all critical gear
  
• Perform pre-flight patient assessment to determine fitness to fly
  
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch centre to ensure all logistical elements run smoothly
  
• Create and execute an appropriate patient care plan. Once you're in the air, there is no back up!
  
• Chart all missions down to the last detail and actively participate in Quality Assurance reviews to improve our patient care outcomes.
• Handover patient care to the appropriate receiving facility.
  
  

Skills and Experience

• Must have active/current practice at the ER, ICU or CCU level; with at least 3 years current experience in a critical care area.
• Must be available to work 10 days per month. This is an on-call, as needed position.
• Must be within 90 minute drive of the Oshawa Executive Airport.
  
• Must have a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally on short notice.
